The Athlete Performance Pyramid

SKILL
The skill level of the performance pyramid refers to your athlete’s ability to perform his or her sport specific activity and perform at a specific position. The majority of athletes spend their time developing this area of the pyramid.

PERFORMANCE
The performance level refers to an athlete’s efficiency at producing power during sport specific movements. This level is often highlighted when people talk about an individual’s athleticism.

MOVEMENT
Movement is the foundation for all athlete's and refers to their mobility, coordination & movement pattern technique. This level is the key to maximizing an athlete’s ability to generate force and to effectively perform his or her sport specific skills.

HOW THE PROGRAMS WORK

OUR PROGRAMS FOCUS ON DEVELOPING A STRONG MOVEMENT FOUNDATION TO MAXIMIZE YOUR ATHLETE’S SKILLS AND ATHLETICISM WHILE REDUCING THE RISK OF SPORTS INJURIES.

TEST YOUR MOVEMENT & PERFORMANCE

-All athletes start out by taking the Functional movement screen (FMS) to get a baseline analysis of your athlete’s quality of movement. This allows us to take a look at your athlete’s strengths and potential problematic areas of his or her movement function.

-Next we test your athlete’s overall performance using 3 separate measures: 20/40 yard dash, broad jump & the 5-10-5 shuttle run. We use these as initial scores to measure progress throughout the program.

-We provide opportunities to retest our movement & performance measures every 6 weeks to ensure progress & to provide feedback for our athletes.

CHOOSE A TRAINING OPTION

-After getting your athlete’s scores a decision needs to be made about whether group training or individual training is best. We recommend that any athlete that scores a 1 on any test for the FMS should begin training individually before joining either program. 1 on 1 training will ensure that your athlete gets the programming that he or she needs to maximize their training and to minimize risks for injury during training or competition.
